Dairy food may calm the digestive and nervous systems but what is the cost? It has been well documented that Dairy on its own or in combination with other factors can contribute to serious illnesses.

World-wide, men seem far more likely to die of prostate cancer in countries where dairy consumption is high than in countries where it is low. A study published in 1977 revealed that 10 men die of prostate cancer in Western Europe for every one who dies in Asia.

What about this growth hormone they feed cows with in the USA? Fifty years ago, the average cow produced 20,000 pounds of milk every year. Today, top producing bovines are producing 50,000 pounds per year. This dramatic increase is due to antibiotics, drugs and recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH). The use of rBGH can cause udder infections in our bovine. And.. more antibiotics are fed to the poor animals. This and the pesticides ingested by the animal find their way to our plates and glasses.

“The milk from cows treated with rBGH contains elevated levels insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), one of the most powerful growth factors ever identified. IGF-1 doesn’t cause cancer but it can stimulate its growth. Recent reports have shown a 7 fold increase in the incidence of breast cancer in women with the highest IGF-1 levels and a 4 fold prostate cancer increase in men with the highest IGF-1 levels.

In 1995 researchers at the National Institutes of Health reported that IGF-1 plays a central role in the progression of many childhood cancers and in the growth of tumours in breast cancer, small cell lung cancer, melanoma, and cancers of the pancreas and prostate. In September 1997 an international team of researchers reported the first epidemiological evidence that high IGF-1 concentrations are closely linked to an increased risk of prostate cancer.

The effects of IGF-1 concentrations on prostate cancer risk were found to be astoundingly large – much higher than for any other known risk factor. Men having an IGF-1 level between approximately 300 and 500 ng/mL were found to have more than four times the risk of developing prostate cancer than did men with a level between 100 and 185 ng/mL.”

The good news is that the European Union has a ban on IGF-1 treated cows. Keep an eye on the news if you live in the UK though. We are never far behind the USA…

Casein, the protein in cheese, milk, cream, butter and other dairy foods cannot be assimilated easily and begins to accumulate in an undigested state in the upper intestine, putrefying, producing toxins, and leading to a weakening of the gastric, intestinal, pancreatic and biliary systems as well as mucous deposits.

The inability to digest milk or other dairy products is known as lactose intolerance and is found in about 50 to 90% of the world’s population groups with the exception of those of Scandinavian origin.

Dairy food according to Macrobiotic principles affects the breast, uterus, ovaries, prostate, thyroid, nasal cavities, pituitary gland, the cochlea in the ear, and the cerebral area surrounding the mid brain. Its adverse affects first appear as an accumulation of mucus and fat and then the formation of cysts, tumours and finally cancer. Many people who eat or have eaten dairy food have an accumulation of mucus in the nasal cavities and inner ear often resulting in hay fever and hearing problems.

Consumption of dairy food leads to stones in the kidney and the gallbladder. The development of breast cysts and tumours and finally breast cancer. In Asia, where many people drink no milk at all, breast cancer tends to be rare. In rural China, for example, among women aged 35 to 64, Campbell found that breast cancer deaths averaged 8.7 per 100,000, as opposed to 44 per 100,000 in the US, about a 5-fold difference.

Other problems include vaginal discharges, ovarian cysts, fibrosis and uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and prostate fat accumulation including infertility. Mucous accumulation in the lungs can cause breathing difficulties and possible asthma. This with tobacco traps tars may lead to cancer of the lungs. Other problems include cramps, diarrhoea, allergies, iron-deficiency, and aggressive and antisocial behaviour. Atherosclerosis, heart attacks arthritis, type 1 diabetes and several forms of cancer.

According to a report published by the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology Committee on Adverse Reactions to Food (part of the National Institutes of Health), the allergies of up to one third of children tested cleared after milk was removed from their diet.

Are other dairy products safer than milk?

Each bite of hard cheese has TEN TIMES whatever was in that sip of milk… because it takes ten pounds of milk to make one pound of cheese. Each bite of ice cream has 12 times … and every swipe of butter 21 times whatever is contained in the fat molecules in a sip of milk.

What do (educated) researchers and scientists says about dairy? Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD, a prestigious nutritional biochemist at Cornell University states:

* The ultimate problem with cow’s milk is that nature concocts different formulas of mother’s milk for different species. What’s good for baby calves isn’t necessarily good for human babies or adults. “Isn’t it strange that we’re the only species that suckles from another species?”

* Dr. Campbell theorises that cow’s milk unnaturally stimulates enzymes and growth hormones in the human body that increase the risk of various diseases.

* He has also come to the conclusion that cow’s milk may not even do what it is supposed to do best – build strong bones, since recent studies suggest that humans may need less calcium for strong bones than was once believed. Additionally, other foods, including various vegetables and legumes, may be a better source than cow’s milk.

In 1965, Dr. Campbell worked as co-ordinator of a US Aid project in the Philippines, where poverty stricken children were dying mysteriously from liver cancer believed to be linked to malnutrition. However, to his surprise, Campbell discovered that the incidence of liver cancer was especially high among some of the best nourished kids, whose diets were supplemented with powdered milk provided through a US subsidised program. He was completely baffled until he read about a 1968 research study conducted in India and published in the Archives of Pathology (Arch Pathol 1968 Feb;85(2):133-7), which linked a milk protein to liver cancer in lab rats.

Homogenisation and pasteurisation

Milk is typically pasteurised more than once to kill off the germs before it gets to your table… every time at 162 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds.

This process unfortunately also kills the enzymes that would allow us to better digest the stuff and also gets rid of some 50% of the vitamins. Several studies have demonstrated that calves that were fed their mother’s milk that had been pasteurised died within 60 days. Don’t you just love it!

Raw, unpasteurised, milk contains beneficial bacteria such as lactobacillus acidolphilus, which holds putrefactive bacteria in check.

You may ask yourself by now: Why do we bother to pasteurise?

The answer to this is very simple:

1. It allows farmers and suppliers to keep the milk longer before it goes bad.

2. It allows farmers to have slacker standards of cleanliness

Homogenisation breaks up large milk molecules into small ones allowing them to get into the bloodstream! This becomes an expressway for any fat-borne toxins (lead, dioxin’s, etc.) into your (otherwise) most protected organs. Without homogenisation, large fat molecules cannot get through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream. The cream no longer rises… because homogenisation

Statistics “In 1981 Stephen Seely… obtained mortality data from the World Health Organisation… and calculated correlation coefficients for various foods and food components… comparing quantity consumed with mortality rates from different countries… (Seely) found that milk and milk products gave the highest correlation coefficient, while sugar, animal proteins and animal fats came in second, third, and fourth, respectively.”

Although the relation between eating fresh seafood and general improvements with regard to health has been known for ages, the exact mechanisms behind the phenomenon might have been considered somewhat ambiguous until recently. A high-protein and low-fat kind of sustenance as various fish and other sea fauna species are, not all the benefits provided by eating them could have been explained via such simple reasons.

Recent research has shown that Mercury levels are higher in farm raised fish than they are in wild caught fish. The conclusion of this discovery is that wild caught fish are more healthy for you than the farm raised counterparts. Even though long term studies have not been conducted on the effects of eating the farm raised fish it is assumed it will have negative effects.

Even though the industry is manipulating almost every food source, and adding all kinds of growth hormones, biologically altering food and generally meddling with nature. All in the name of increaseing profits, fish remains a good choice for a healthy diet.

Following the introduction of new technologies, however, and the discovery of omega-3 fatty acids and their key role to various aspects of human health, the benefits of enjoying a diet rich in, for instance, lobster meat or other kinds of fresh seafood suddenly became far more visible and clear.

The almost magical activity by the omega-3s starts as early as on fetal stage of human development. Docosahexaenoic acid, commonly found in fish, crab and lobster meat, is an essential component for building brain and nerve fetal tissue as well as the retina. Consequently, research suggests that higher consumption of fresh seafood low in mercury by a pregnant woman is beneficial for infant cognition.

Studies indicate very positive health advantages from ingesting omega-3, including the reduction of asthma development and other respiratory ailments such as airway inflammation in young children. Good sources of omega-3 can be found in live lobster and king crab, which can be enjoyed and ingested into adulthood.

Eating fresh seafood was shown to lower the rates of depression in post-partum women as well as lower their risk of breast cancer. Consuming Omega 3s also protected against a number of heart diseases, prevented strokes, and improved eye and neurological functioning. Lastly, they were shown to stop mental deterioration in later years, therefore saving the contented fresh seafood afficionados manifold the expenses of their hobby.

What is more, fish contain more than just one advisable substance. Vitamin D they are also rich in offers potent anti-cancer and bone-building properties, while Astaxanthin, a powerful anti-oxidant found in salmon and giving it the characteristic orange color, confers a host of documented health benefits.

To conclude, eating natural ingredients found in most food items is nearly the same as the practices of most modern medical trends and the thought that it is much easier to prevent a disease than it is to cure it. Basically – eat right and stay healthy.

Only recently have nutritionists and sports scientists started to realise that in order to lose weight, gain muscle. It seems strange but makes perfect sense when you take a closer look at the process.

After all, muscle requires a lot of nutrients to keep it in perfect condition so naturally someone with more muscle will burn more calories, and so lose weight easier, than someone with less muscle.

There is something of a problem here though – and that is that gaining muscle requires additional nutrients in the diet typically, whilst weight loss requires fewer calories than are required for maintainance levels.

There are a number of books which have mereged recently however which aim to solve this riddle.

It seems that in order to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time you should eat a similar number of calories to your standard level (as worked out using one of the many online calorie calculators) but to consume these nutrients in a very specific form.

That form, of course, is in a low fat, moderate carb and high protein diet. Carbohydrate sources are selected carefully so that the body has to work hard to break them down into a useable form, thus slowing the flow of sugars into the blood and reducing the chances of any being stored as fat.

Ideal carb sources include brown rice, wholewheat pasta and a range of non-starchy vegetables. Add into this mix low fat and high protein sources like cottage cheese, egg whites (or substitute) and a range of meats and you have the basis of a diet that will enable you to lose weight and gain muscle.

Exercising with weights should be hard and you should aim for heavy weights that can only be lifted for around 10 reps. Keep increasing the weight lifted during each workout so as to “force” your muscles to grow and adapt. What seems to work well is a workout 2-3 times a week that focuses on each muscle group in turn, and exercising each with two different exercises.

Thus, you would do 10 reps of a bicep exercise (such as a bicep curl) then 10 reps of another bicep exercise (such as a hammer curl) then move into the next muscle group.

A workout should take no more than around 45 minutes as after this time your body has a a harder time coping with the intensity of the workout and frankly, if you feel you could keep going for another half an hour to an hour, it’s probably the case that you’re not actually working out hard enough. When I have finished one of these workouts I can barely move my muscles are so tired.

You may find initially that you do put on a small amount of weight but this shouldn’t be a major concern as don’t forget that muscle weighs more than the fat you are trying to lose so this exchange may cause a few peaks and troughs to appear.

However over the longer term you should find your fat levels start to drop whilst your lean muscle mass increases, enabling you to lose weight and gain muscle together.

The B-Complex vitamin is not a single vitamin, but rather is a complex of eight different water soluble vitamins that combine together to play a large role in your overall health and well being. Each of these eight water soluble vitamins plays its own unique role in your health and wellness, and each individual vitamin can be found in different whole food sources and synthesized through different means as well.

This combination of different B vitamins plays an important role in the metabolism of cells. While these vitamins may coexist in many of the same foods, they are chemically distinct vitamins that can be found separately in many whole food sources as well. When all eight vitamins are combined together, this is referred to as the Vitamin B complex. The Vitamin B complex is always the combination between all eight water soluble vitamins in their correct dosages. Because these vitamins are water soluble, it means that they must be taken regularly because the unused vitamins are flushed out of the body via urination rather than stored in the liver like fat soluble vitamins.

The eight vitamins that when combined make up the B-Complex vitamin are Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Pyridoxine, Biotin or Vitamin H, Folic Acid or Vitamin M and Cobalamin. Not getting enough of these vitamins in your diet can result in a number of deficiencies. The B-Complex vitamin supplement is designed to deliver the right vitamins in the right dosages to prevent these deficiencies from occurring. Thiamine deficiency causes emotional disturbances, weight loss, encephalopathy, irregular heart beat and heart failure. Riboflavin deficiency causes ariboflavinosis which has a number of symptoms including high sensitivity to light and seborrhea dermatitis or pseudo-syphilis. Niacin deficiency can cause pellagra, with symptoms including dermatitis, insomnia and mental confusion.

A Pantothenic acid deficiency can result in acne and a disease called paresthesia, but both of these conditions are rare. Anemia, depression, high blood pressure and dermatitis can all result from a pyridoxine deficiency. Macrocytic anemia is the most common result of a folic acid deficiency, and birth defects are common in pregnant women who do not get enough of this vital vitamin supplement. Finally, a Cobalamin deficiency is also responsible for Macrocytic anemia along with a number of problems related to the brain, such as memory loss, peripheral neuropathy and other cognitive deficits.

Because a deficiency in each of these vitamins can cause a myriad of different health issues, it is vital that your body receives enough of each of these vitamins. The B-Complex vitamin concept allows for supplementation of all eight vitamins simultaneously, as multiple deficiencies can overload the body with a number of illnesses and ailments. The B-Complex vitamin is a powerhouse of a vitamin combination as all of these separate vitamins work hand in hand to deliver powerful health benefits to the body. These health benefits provided by the B-complex vitamin include support of the metabolism and increase in the rate of metabolism, maintenance of healthy muscle tone and skin and enhancing the function of the nervous system and the immune system.

The B-Complex vitamin also promotes the growth and division of cells, including the red blood cells that are responsible for preventing anemia. B-Complex vitamins also have shown to significantly reduce the risks associated with pancreatic cancer, which is surprisingly one of the most deadly forms of cancer out there. This only applies to B-complex vitamins when consumed in whole food sources, however, rather than when ingested as a synthesized vitamin supplement.

B-Complex vitamins can be found in many whole food sources, and are also available in synthesized forms as tablets or liquid vitamin supplements. Whole food sources for B-complex vitamins include potatoes, lentils, bananas, chili peppers, tempeh, liver, liver oil, tuna, turkey, brewer’s yeast, nutritional yeast and molasses. Vegemite and Marmite are popular sources for all of the B-complex vitamins, and beer is also a moderately useful source for this vitamin complex because of the high content of brewer’s yeast found in most beers.

If you are like many people who have attempted to lose weight, or have lost weight only to regain it in a matter of weeks, you know how difficult and daunting a task weight loss can be. The key to losing weight is acquiring a new set of good habits to replace the bad habits that made you gain so much excess weight in the first place. A great habit to take on to help you lose weight and keep it off is quite simple-drink more water!

It may sound strange at first, but if you think about it it will all make sense. Your body is over 2/3 water. Your body relies on water for all of it’s essential processes. Whether it is the immune system or flushing out toxins, water is absolutely necessary. Water helps us move without pain and helps keep our blood at the correct volume, and is essential to flushing harmful toxins and metabolites out of the body.

Most people don’t know that water has an essential role in metabolism, and is very important for anyone trying to lose weight. Water is essential for almost all the metabolic processes of the body. This means that if you are dehydrated, metabolism cannot continue at maximum efficiency. If your metabolism isn’t operating at maximum efficiency, then it probably means that you aren’t burning as many calories as you could be. This is counter productive to losing weight!

Another aspect of adequate water intake is the fact that water is a required substrate for proper digestion of the food we eat. When your body is not able to absorb the nutrients it requires to stay healthy, you will feel hungry even when you shouldn’t, or when you just ate! Proper digestion and detection of the foods you eat is the key to feeling satiated. It is almost impossible to feel satiated without water which will cause you to have food cravings even when you shouldn’t!

By simply flushing toxins out of your body by drinking water, your body will become more efficient at burning calories. Have you ever noticed that people with high metabolism have more energy? It is because their body is working overdrive all the time. This is not possible without proper hydration to maintain all the necessary metabolic processes of a healthy body. So if you want to maintain a high metabolism, water is a must.

If you want to lose weight and keep it off, begin by drinking water and end by drinking water! If you drink water before meals, it can make you eat less food and give your stomach feel full quicker than normal! If you make consuming adequate amounts of water a habit, you will reap the benefits in no time at all.

It is well known that stress can affect us mentally and emotionally. It can make us feel anxious and overwhelmed. It can make our tempers short and cause us to feel depressed. But how does stress affect your health?

When you are feeling stressed, certain stress hormones, like adrenaline and cortisol, are released into your system. This is fine in short doses. It can even be beneficial. But if your stress is prolonged, and these hormones keep getting pumped into your symptoms, they can actually cause damage to your body and your health.

It’s common knowledge that too much stress can negatively affect your blood pressure. But it can impact your health in other negative ways, too.

Your Immune System

When you are under stress, your body might shut down or suppress some of your systems. This is its way of giving you fewer things to worry about. For example, many women in stressful situations might stop having a menstrual cycle for a month or two, or even longer.

Unfortunately, prolonged stress can also partially suppress your immune system, which can make you susceptible to illnesses and infections.

People who are stressed out often end up getting sick or run down. Which makes it even harder to deal with daily challenges, and makes them feel even more stressed.

Digestive Problems

Digestive problems are common in those under extreme stress. Those feeling stressed shouldn’t be surprised to find themselves suffering from diarrhoea, heartburn, or indigestion.

Weight Gain

People dealing with stressful situations, like a divorce or break-up, the loss of a loved one, or a job they hate, often find themselves eating more and putting on weight. Many often assume this is because people sometimes eat more to comfort themselves. But, while this can be true, there is also a physical reason for the weight gain.

Stress causes hormonal changes in the body. And these hormonal changes can actually increase your appetite. You eat more not just because you are feeling sad, but also because your body is telling you that you need to eat more.

Other Problems

Stress can also cause other problems, like insomnia, fatigue, sexual dysfunction, and erratic mood swings. It can make it hard for you to concentrate at work, and even harder for you to remember important dates and appointments. It can also make skin conditions, like acne, eczema, and psoriases even worse than before.

So how does stress affect your health? Potentially, it can affect it in all sorts of negative ways. That is why learning to manage and relieve your stress should be your top priority.

A lot of lotions and skincare creams are available in the market. Just specify an ailment and you will see that there are varieties of lotions and skin care creams which helps in curing the ailment. This is mainly due to a lot of research going on and the demand for these creams and lotions has lead to the increase in the market. The skin care products are broadly categorized as skin care creams and lotions. Even a debate can be conducted to identify which form would be the best skin care cream or lotion? But the answer to this will never be traced. It mainly depends on the individual’s needs and choice. But mostly creams which are not greasy are preferred when compared to those ones which are greasy. At the same time skin care creams are used as they can be applied very easily. In situations when they are not required to be removed at any point of time they are also used. The skin care creams are widely used as moisturizers rather than toners or cleansers. Lotions are preferred in the case of toners. Even some skin care creams are used as toners. But mostly toners have to be in liquid form. At times the skin care creams act as toners. For the purpose of cleansing both skin care creams and lotions are used. But lotions are more popular.

Skin care creams maintains the skin’s moistness and hence they are mostly used as moisturizers. That is the main reason why skin care creams are preferred for dry and sensitive skin. It is true that they preserve the moisture of the skin but skin care creams can also be used for oily skin. Sulphur and Vitamin A cream helps in the reduction of the sebum rate production.

Skin care creams can be used for disorders in skin especially for those ailments where the cream needs to be applied at the specific spot. They are widely used because the process of application is simple and at the same it will not be wasted. Burt at times it might be required that the infected area be washed with some kind of medication. In such cases lotions are mostly preferred. Even the manufacturers have a general idea of when creams would be used and lotions would be preferred. As per the analysis the skin care products come out as creams or lotions.

Anti-aging creams and eye creams are mostly skin care creams and lotions are not preferred in such cases.

Whether you choose to go for a lotion or a cream it is most important that you possess some knowledge on how to use them very effectively.

If you suffer from insomnia then the tried and tested information in this article may well lead the best night’s sleep you have had in months.

While insomnia is a reasonably common complaint this makes it no less unpleasant for sufferers who lie awake for hour after hour, physcially tired but unable to “switch off” and fall asleep.

The most common cause for insomnia is stress and worry about your everyday life. For example there may be problems at work that are keeping you awake, or you may be having financial difficulties. Maybe your partner is causing you grief? Whatever happens we need to find a way for you to isolate these thoughts and lock them away at will so that you can sleep well and awake refreshed and rejuvenated.

The most powerful technique I have come across to help combat this problem involves considerable self-examination. Take the time whenever your mind starts to wonder in bed and you feel unable to sleep to examine your thoughts and take note of the issues that keep on cropping up.

After a week or so you should have a pretty comprehensive list so put aside some time when you are reasonably awake to be alone. This is “me time” and for best results you should ensure that you are not disturbed so if necessary go for a drive or a walk to escape the noise and mayhem of everyday life.

You then need to explore each of your concerns, logically, on paper. Look at the problem and how you might solve it. Brainstorm solutions no matter how extreme they may be and take the time to assess your solutions at length so that after some time you start to feel somewhat calmer.

One thing that many people find is that actually facing the stresses and strains of life head on in a positive, problem-solving way will reap real benefits in creating solutions.

There are two final stages to this puzzle now that you have your list of problems and solutions.

Firstly, have the guts to start making those changes you have devised. Only by doing this will you truly rid yourself of these concerns and feel able to sleep properly. With each problem that you cross off your list you will find yourself becoming happier and less stressed. Life will seem more colorful and enjoyable and with luck you will find yourself better able to sleep at night.

Be aware that some solutions can take time to implement, while others may unfortunately be physically impossible which is where the final stage comes in – release. You need to get into the habit every night before bed of going back to your journal and noting down anything that has arisen during the day that you feel is causing you stress.

Then leave it there.

Whilst it will take plenty of practise initially, make a promise to yourself that once a problem is written down in the book, you will not think about it again until the following day.

Most often the problem will have solved itself by the end of the next day, and if not then problems never seem so quite bad in the cold light of day where you may realise it’s not so bad after all, or at worst you will be in a better frame of mind to formulate a solution.

Suffer the embarrasment of man boobs no longer. This article reveals practical steps that will help you solve your problem swiftly and easily.

Man boobs are caused typically by a combination of excess fat on the body and a hormonal imbalance that leads to the fat being stored in the chest, leading otherwise healthy men to grow feminine-looking breasts. Indeed, the scientific name for this process, gynecomastia, literally means “woman-like breast”.

Alternative causes can include drug use and a variety of other medical conditions such as liver disease.

Man boobs are a particularly unfortunate and distressing problem that can affect men of any age and lead to considerable embarrasment. So much so, that many sufferers are loathe to visit a doctor about the problem for fear of appearing feminine or freakish.

However, help is at hand and a simple three-pronged attack can help to reduce man boobs rapidly though depending on the severity of the problem it could take several months for the problem to disappear altogether.

Experts in the field recommend a combination of cardio to reduce the fat content fo the body and hence the contents of man boobs, combined with weight lifting exercises. These exercises not only serve to increase and hence firm the pectoral muscles, so making man boobs more masculine in appearance, but they will also boost testosterone production which in turn should combat the hormonal imbalance suffered by many men with this condition.

In order to reduce fat, 30-60 mintes of cycling or jogging is recommended, 5 days a week, in addition to the consumption of a low calorie, low fat diet. Suitable foods include lean meat, fruit and vegetables while foods such as grains, pasta, bread and soda drinks should be avoided if at all possible. In a perfect world, carry out the exercise first thing in the morning on an empty stomach when your body will be forced to burn fat as a fuel rather than later on in the day when there is food in your system and so your body is likely to use this to power the exercise.

A further tip, if you have the motivation, is to swap your hour of gentle cardio for 20 minutes or so of intensive interval training that will see you rapidly varying the speed and intensity at which you do your chosen exercise. Whilst such workouts are tremendously tough, research has shown that your body continues to burn fat for several hours afterwards, in contrast to standard cardio where your body stops using up energy within a few minutes of finishing.

The final aspect, as mentioned, is the use of weight lifting. Focus your attention on exercises ot build the chest muscles of which the most powerful is the bench press. Find a weight that you can only lift for ten repetitions and aim to carry out 5 sets of 10 reps twice a week.

In addition, the use of squats will greatly boost testosterone production and so help to correct imbalances in the female hormone estrogen. After working out, try to consume a high protein meal within an hour or so of finishing to provide your muscles with the materials they need to grow if you want the fastest results possible.

I guess the important words here are “weight control”. In order to lose fat and get fit, you have to be prepared to control your weight. This involves 3 steps that combine good diet advice and fitness tips.

You need to

1. Take off the excess kilos,

2. Improve your diet and exercise habits and

3. Monitor yourself closely in order to prevent regaining the flabby flesh you fought so hard to burn off.

There is quite a bit of effort involved in changing your shape, size and fitness levels for the better. The results are well worth the effort, but results come at a price.

Best diet advice: You have to cut out the vast majority of saturated fats from your diet. You have to plan your meals in advance ensuring that you don’t go crazy over simple carbs. In fact, you really have to take the time to learn about saturated and unsaturated fats, simple and complex carbs and the role of protein and supplements in a balanced diet.

Best fitness tips: You must work out a sensible daily exercise habit that can work for you. You need to spend 30 minutes to 1 hour a day getting yourself moving and sweating in order to see some good results for your body.

Until you are ready to take responsibility for your current shape and size you are not going anywhere health and fitness wise. Blaming the major fast food chains, a hectic daily schedule or your genetics will get you exactly nowhere fast. It does not give you any sort of mindset or commitment to taking charge of your problem.

You are the one who chooses what you put in your mouth. You are the one who chooses to exercise or skip it. You are the one who is not happy with being overweight. Only you can take charge of your unsatisfactory situation and change it for the better. The fat loss fairy or the fitness genie are not going to magic away your cares and troubles with no effort on your part.

Weight control means that you are in control – believe it and believe in your ability to change your dietary and exercise habits in order to improve your lifestyle, fitness, overall health and daily mood.

Sure, long ingrained habits are as hard to dissolve as ink stains in your favorite blouse. But while you can with some regrets throw out your favorite blouse and buy a new one, you are rather more permanently attached to your body.
